About the School

The USWATHUN HASANA ISLAMIC INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is situated in the East Masjid Complex of Pallapatti Town Panchayath in Karur District of Tamil Nadu State. Out of about 75,000 of the Town's Population, almost 95% belongs to Minority Muslim Community. The East Masjid is the one of the oldest Masjid of Pallapatti built in 1905, which was named as “Anjuman-E-Thydhul Islam”. In the Masjid Complex, an Elementary School was started in 1935 which was providing education upto 5th Standard to the Children of the Community. In the course of time as new Schools came up, the Admission to this School became poor and it was closed in 1975. Under the circumstance, it was decided to start a modern school to provide unique education of International Standards. The Schools at Pallapatti follow the State Board Syllabus both in Tamil and English mediums. As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Syllabus is adopted throughout India with Hindi Language as compulsory subject, it was preferred to start the School under the CBSE pattern along with Islamic Studies. By offering a quality education, we want to uplift the standards of our Minority Muslim Community.

With the intention as explained above, we formed a Society named as “Pallapatti Islamic Educational and Research Society” (PIERS) on 04-06-2008 and the same was registered on 06-01-2009 under the Societies Registration Act thereafter (Registration No: 7/2009). Under the auspices of the Society, a School named as “Uswathun Hasana Islamic International School” was started on 18-06-2008 in the East Masjid premises with strength of 80 students comprising of Classes Pre-KG, Junior KG, Senior KG and 1st Standard. At present, there are 197 students studying up to 8th Standard. Admissions are given upto 8th Standard. The Students are promoted to higher classes thereafter. It has been decided to grant Scholarship to at least 40 poor students every year. Although the school is situated inside the Masjid premises, right from its commencement, apart from Holy Quraan and Arabic studies, we are teaching all important subjects such as Mathematics, Social Science, Life Science, Computer Science, General Knowledge and Hindi Language etc., with modern teaching aids like wide LCD TV, Computers etc., With the grace of the Almighty, the School had completed 10th years successfully. Its Mission is continuing in the 11th Academic Year also. As limited space is available for the School in the Masjid, it is difficult to run it in the same premises in the forthcoming years. Hence we are under compulsion to shift the School to some other Location having sufficient space to run the School.

With the funds raised so far from the Public, we have purchased 3 Acres of Land within Pallapatti and Constructed the Ground and First Floor completely. We have plans to construct a Sophisticated Complex with School Building consisting of 32 class rooms, Hostel Facility, a Swimming Pool, Tennis Court and a Play Ground. According to the CBSE Standards, we have drawn an Engineering Plan for the proposed Complex and got approval from DTCP.
